Arrival and departure
When can I check in and out?
Check-in is from 15:00, check-out by 11:00. Early check-in or late check-out is possible on request, depending on availability and for an extra fee.
How does check-in work?
You check in on your own: every house has a code lock. We are on site every day and there if you need anything.
How far is it to the beach and the town?
The nearest beach is a ten-minute walk, the centre of Viana do Castelo five minutes by car. The Way of St. James passes 150 m from the Quinta.
Where can I park?
You can park free of charge in the street. A disabled parking space is also available – please request it well before you arrive, as we cannot allocate it at short notice.
Can I drop off my luggage before check-in?
Yes, on request – please let us know in advance.
During your stay
Can I bring my dog?
Yes, with prior notice – up to two dogs per house. We charge €11 per pet per night.
Is there a pool?
Yes, the pool is in the garden of the Quinta and is shared by all guests. It is not heated and is open outside the quiet hours, from 8:00 to 22:00.
Is there a washing machine?
Yes, at the Quinta. A wash costs €4, which you can pay with coins or by phone; detergent is provided.
Can I work from here?
Yes. The Quinta has a gigabit fibre connection; over Wi-Fi (Wi-Fi 6) you get around 250–300 Mbit/s in the houses.
Do you have a baby cot and a high chair?
Yes, on request. The baby cot costs €12 per week.
Are there beach towels?
Yes, every house has beach towels – free of charge, just like the towels and bed linen.
Are there quiet hours?
Yes, from 22:00 to 8:00.
Can I rent bikes?
Yes, right at the Quinta: e-bikes, gravel, trekking, mountain and children’s bikes. Bikes & Tours
Booking and payment
Can we book several houses as a group?
Yes. All houses share one courtyard, so groups can stay next to each other. Write to us and we will put it together for you.
How can I pay?
You pay 50% when you book and the other 50% 7 days before arrival (Casa 8: 30 days). When you book online you pay by card. We also accept bank transfer and cash (a valid credit card is required as a guarantee for cash payments).
Does an additional guest cost extra?
In Casa 1A, 1B, 2, 5 and 7 an additional guest sleeps on the sofa bed. This costs €50 per night; how many guests are included in the price is shown on each house page. If you use the sofa bed without an additional guest, we charge a one-off €10 for cleaning.
What are the cancellation terms?
Within 24 hours of booking you can cancel free of charge. After that, the 50% deposit is non-refundable if you cancel more than 5 days before arrival; from 5 days before arrival the full amount is non-refundable (tourist tax already paid is refunded). For Casa 8 the period is 30 days instead of 5.
