The Portuguese Way of St. James passes just 150 metres from Quinta da Victória. Many pilgrims stay with us for a night – Casa 4, the studio by the pool, is a favourite after a day on foot. More and more of them ask about doing the Camino by bike.
Which bike
For the Camino we recommend our gravel bikes (KTM Gravelator, sizes S, M and L) or the e-touring and trekking bikes. Gravel bikes are comfortable on the road and give you more freedom on gravel and quieter paths. You can see all bikes with live prices and availability on our Bikes & Tours page.
One way, without coming back
You do not have to return the bikes to Viana. We deliver and collect in Portugal and Spain, also for one-way and Camino tours. Delivery or pickup costs €1.60 per km (minimum €10), counted one way from Viana do Castelo – collecting up to 4 bikes in Santiago, for example, costs €290. Every delivery needs our confirmation, so write to us early.
Luggage
We are preparing bags for the gravel bikes. The idea: when we deliver the bikes, you swap your luggage for the bike bags – and in Santiago you swap back. Ask us about the current status when you book.
Before you go
Tell us your dates, how many of you are riding and where you want to finish. We will put together the bikes, the delivery and, if you like, a night at the Quinta before you set off. Write to us
